I was running out of Fireline thread, again. The reason was that I used it all to make nearly a dozen of these Christmas ornaments that I call Finials:

The pattern was created by a Russian craft artist. She’s amazing and has produced a lot of intricate designs. I plan to introduce her work to our website so more people could create exquisite pieces like these above. Stay tuned.
Back to Fireline thread - or a lack thereof - if you’ve been using it, you know the prices some jewelry making supplies stores set for it are ridiculous. Onestopseedbeadshop has been one of a few stores (if not the only one) with affordable prices.
Expectedly, a 125 yard spool was sold out but what really surprised me was the closeout sale. What? My favorite bead store is closing??? Sad.
I made a big order: rare Swarovski items (think Fire Opal, Light Rose Shimmer), a kilo of Miyuki beads plus some findings and added a note to my order wishing the owners success in their future endeavors. They thanked me. But I continued the conversation.
I’ve been making jewelry for a couple of years at this point. At first, I mainly used Japanese beads but then I discovered gemstones and have been playing with different materials ever since.
What if… I had my own jewelry making supplies store?
Fast forward, after some back and forth Tammy and Thomas (the previous owners) sold their online business to me.
When I first received the inventory, I felt truly overwhelmed but as I got to touch and learn about every single item I completely fell in love with my new endeavor.
Now every day starts with me sorting through the unprocessed inventory - that of Tammy and myself, as I've begun purchasing rare and unique items that fit the Onestopseedbeadshop vibe.
I truly wish to continue Tammy’s legacy and keep beading and jewelry making affordable for as many people as possible. But for that I need visibility. I don’t plan to make huge changes to the website but I want to engage with you more, so please come along and follow Onestopseedbeadshop on Instagram and call over your bead loving friends! → A lot of new and exciting stuff is coming up!
